Mr. Stearns holds a degree in Petroleum Engineering Technology from Oklahoma State University.  His family has been involved in the Oklahoma oil and gas industry since the 1918.

 

Mr. Stearns worked for Sun Oil Company for 10 years as a drilling and production engineer in the Mid Continent, Michigan, Rocky Mountains, Texas and the Gulf of Mexico.  His last assignment with Sun was as Regional Exploration Engineer for the Gulf coast and Offshore.

 

After leaving Sun, Mr. Stearns worked for several small independent companies in the Tulsa area.  Since 1995 he has been a principal in two private companies focusing on the acquisition and exploitation of producing properties in the greater Midcontinent.

 

Mr. Stearns has 34 years experience in the U.S. oil and gas industry.  He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
